Defence of the Niagara Frontier

The 41st Regiment of Foot Military Living History Group were pleased to present the tenth installment in the popular 41st Regiment Lecture Series featuring Dr. Wesley Turner, Historian and War of 1812 Author.

Wes Turner lives in Niagara-on-the-Lake. He taught at Brock University for 31 years, retiring in 1998. He has written a number of books, including two specific to the War of 1812: The War of 1812: The War that Both Sides Won and British Generals in the War of 1812: High Command in the Canadas.

We are were quite excited to feature Dr. Turner speaking about the Niagara River area during the War of 1812. Dr. Turner included many seldom seen images of the interior of Fort Mississauga in Niagara On The Lake.
