Located within Cardiff Castle in Cardiff, Wales, the Welch Regiment Museum is moving to a new building associated with Cardiff Castle.

The 41st Regiment of Foot MLHG has been invited to help celebrate the opening of the new museum as well as participating in the “Beating of the Retreat” ceremony with the Royal Welsh in 2009.

The 41st Regiment of Foot MLHG are planning on capitalizing on this opportunity but need help with the financing of the trip to maximize the number of participants and the North American impact to this celebration of British and Welch military tradition.

By participating in this honour, the members of the 41st Regiment of Foot MLHG have the opportunity to bind the City of Cardiff and Wales to the history of Canada during the War of 1812.
